Our client base in the Canterbury Region is looking for 3 motivated & physically fit Arborists.

Who can lead & perform the below, to service the broader Mid Canterbury and Selwyn areas?

• Tree Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations of tree health, structure, and condition through visual inspections, diagnostic tests, and risk assessments.

• Tree Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive tree care plans, including pruning, trimming, shaping, rigging, and fertilization, to promote optimal growth, health, and safety.

• Tree Preservation: Utilize specialized equipment and techniques to perform tree climbing, rigging, and aerial work for maintenance tasks at various heights, ensuring minimal impact on tree health and surrounding landscapes.

• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of tree assessments, maintenance activities, client communications, and job site documentation using digital tools, written reports, or database systems.

• Continuing Education: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in arboriculture by attending training programs, workshops, and seminars, and obtaining relevant certifications.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and industry standards, including using personal protective equipment (PPE), equipment maintenance, and compliance with environmental regulations.

•  Client Communication: Collaborate with property owners, landscapers, property managers, and government agencies to address tree-related concerns, provide expert recommendations, and ensure client satisfaction.   

  Requirements

   A minimum of 3 years experience in a related field or a level 4 certificate

  • NZ Citizenship/NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa

  Police & medical certificate required

  Recent drug test

  Driver's license

  Did not claim acc for the last 3 years

Minimum of 30hours per week, maximum of 40hours per week.
$35 - $40/ hr depending on ability and experience

The rule includes:

• Directly overseeing all staff working in casting yard.
• Uses shop drawings to set-out precast components.
• Box and form panels on casting and stressing beds.
• Operates forklift and telehandler.
• Install pre-fabricated reinforcing cages.
• Pours concrete.
• Finishes concrete.
• Works with crane operators to demould panels from casting bed and stacking in racks.
• Assists with loading trucks for delivery to site.

*You must have 1-2 years of work experience
*Qualification is not required if the work experience requirement is met
*Must provide the latest police and medical certifi cate, must providerecent drug test result, did not claim from ACC for the last 3 years, musthave a full and clean driver's license

We require Four Experienced Seed processing operators for our plant In Methven, Canterbury. This will be a full time permanent role guaranteed minimum of 30hrs per week, maximum of 40hours per week, $33.56-$34 rate per hour. Monday to Friday 8 to 5 and overtime when required. The role includes: Setting up of machines for required product. Operation of machines. Cleaning of machines. 

• Set up and operation of seed cleaning equipment to a safe and high standard. (Clipper 29Ds, Scalper, Cimbria Delta, Q-sage and Oliver gravity table, among others). 
• Assisting with seed intake. 
• Ensuring work area is kept clean and tidy. 
• Cleaning down of equipment. 
• Operating forklift. 
• Packaging seed. 
• Assisting other colleagues when necessary. 
• Accurate record keeping of seed lines. 
• Comply with all health and safety processes and rules. 

Key behavioural competencies: 

• Previous experience as a seed processing operator. 
• Ability to work with others as part of a team. 
• Carefully monitors the detail and quality of own work. 
• Able to plan, organise and schedule workload. 
• Able to demonstrate initiative in addressing problems as they arise.
