Our Tauranga branch, located in Tauriko, is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Class 2 Delivery Driver to join their team immediately.
As a Delivery Driver at Service Foods, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and in pristine condition.
- Full-time permanent role .
- Shift: Monday to Friday and every second Saturday
- Hours: 05.00 am till 02.00 pm (approx)
- Location: Porutu Place, Tauriko, Tauranga
- Immediate start
The job:
You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of food products to various locations in and around Tauranga, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the integrity of our business.
- Safely operate delivery vehicles (vans and trucks) to transport goods
- Load and unload products, ensuring they are transported securely and safely.
- Deliver goods according to customer orders in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Provide outstanding customer service by interacting professionally with clients
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe and efficient delivery
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly
- Assist with other warehouse duties when not on delivery runs
- Fill vehicles with fuel and report on any maintenance requirement
- Perform daily checks – oils, coolant, WOF etc.
- Wash and clean trucks or other vehicles when required
- Help warehouse team if needed
The candidate:
You will have the following skills and attributes.
- A full Class 2 drivers licence, must be able to drive manual
- Have clear communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of Tauranga and its surrounding areas is a plus
- Reasonably good literacy and numeracy skills
- Be confident, reliable, flexible and have attention to detail
- Clean driving and criminal records
- Have prior NZ experience and knowledge of basic food ingredients.
- Be physically strong and fit; should be able to lift up to 20 kgs.
- Possess good organizational and time management skills.
- Be a team player with a positive attitude
- Have reliable transport for commute
