About the Role
You'll mainly be involved in the delivery phase however you will have the opportunity deal with, estimate, project financials and subcontractor variations. You’ll play a key role in project scheduling, sub-contract management and working with the site teams to ensure high standards and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and report project progress using financial and non-financial metrics
- Liaise with site teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules
- Conduct environmental and health & safety compliance monitoring
- Prepare project claims and assist in survey and field testing tasks
- Drive improvements in systems, processes, and project outcomes
You are a confident communicator, strong problem-solver, and natural collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment. You'll bring a hands-on approach with a high level of technical competency and demonstrate basic financialacumen.
You will ideally have:
- 4+ years of civil construction experience
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- Proven skills in cost control, scheduling, and project coordination
- Strong understanding of H&S and environmental practices
- Competency with project software and reporting tools
- A full, clean Class 1 NZ driver’s licence
- Work with a respected civil contractor on meaningful infrastructure projects
