Future Steel Limited based in Papakura, Auckland, is specialised in structural steel, metal fabrication, welding and steel beams. We are looking for three junior fitter-welders to join our team. 

You will be expected to work at different sites throughout Auckland region, a minimum of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday as normal hours of work, and you may also be required to perform on Saturday as well. Please note this is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be $27.00-$29.00 based on candidates' experience and skills.

Job Description for This Position

•         Assist in studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings
•         Support fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment
•         Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks on structural steel and other metal components under supervision.
•         Check assembled parts for basic accuracy and fit, using measuring instruments as instructed.
•         Complete assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner.
•         Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn within the team.
•         Follow company guidelines, safety procedures, and policies relevant to the role.

Key Requirements for Successful Applicants:

• Having one-year experience in fabricating or welding operations.

• Relevant qualification or certificate is an advantage.

Tasks

l  Uses building blueprints and diagrams to determine the proper dimensions, shape and design of a form structure.

l  Select and work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, concrete.

l  Build timber and concrete forms.

l  Use precise measurements to cut and assemble boards, timbers or plywood to the necessary size.

l  Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.

l  Secure the form with nails, bolts, scrßews or anchor rods.

l  Once the form is secure, concrete is poured between the walls of the form. The concrete is molded and shaped by the design of the form as it cures

l  Build stairs, mantles, and furniture.

l  Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.

l  Work on top of stilts, ladders, and the top beams of buildings.

Requirement

l  Must have 2 years of relevant construction work experience.

We are looking for Machinery Operators for our busy horticulture business. This is a full-time permanent position and will consist of operating and maintaining orchard machinery.

To be considered for this position you’ll have at least a qualification at Diploma level (Level 4) or at least three years of previous experience in the agriculture or horticulture industry. You must have a current driver's license (either a New Zealand license or an international license with no issues which would prevent a conversion of the license) You should have excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and be able to work independently to reach goals. You must be able to multitask and will be able to complete work in set time frames.

You will be also expected to perform tasks such as operating and maintaining our orchard machinery including tractors, completing repair work and assisting in the procurement of new machinery, completing paperwork as required and ensuring the highest quality of work possible. You will be solely responsible for operating and maintaining orchard machinery.
