We are a Hamilton and Auckland based IT company providing intelligence and data service for businesses. Now we are looking for a Database Analyst to maintain and manage our databases in our Auckland office.

Job duties of the position offered

  • designing and maintaining database architecture, data structures, tables, dictionaries and naming conventions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all data master files
  • performing the operational establishment and preventive maintenance of backups, recovery procedures, and enforcing security and integrity controls
  • implementing and administering database documentation, guidelines, policies and procedures
  • testing database systems and upgrades, such as debugging, tracking, reproduction, logging and resolving all identified problems, according to approved quality testing scripts, procedures and processes
  • accepting responsibility for the processes, procedures and operational management associated with system security and disaster recovery planning
  • liaising with security vendors, suppliers, service providers and external resources; analysing, recommending, installing and maintaining software security applications; and monitoring contractual obligations, performance delivery and service level agreements
  • troubleshooting and providing service support in diagnosing, resolving and repairing server-related hardware and software malfunctions, encompassing workstations and communication infrastructure
  • preparing and maintaining documentation, policies and instructions, and recording and detailing operational procedures and system logs
  • ensuring that the design of computer sites allows all components to fit together and work properly, and monitoring and adjusting the performance of networks
  • continually surveying the current computer site to determine future network needs and making recommendations for enhancements in the implementation of future servers and networks

Requirements of the position offered

  • A Bachelor or higher qualification in Database/ICT/Computing Science field, or at least five years relevant work experience. 
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with good concentration for details

Bachelor’s degree   in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Minimum of 3 years' experience as a software developer or programmer.

Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, PHP, C#).

Experience with database development (SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar).

Familiarity with front-end and back-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Django, Laravel).

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Desirable:

Experience developing software for manufacturing or construction industries.

Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems or job-tracking software.

Experience with system integration (e.g., API connections with CAD or accounting tools).

Understanding of user access controls, data privacy, and system scalability.

Familiar with AI tools will be a plus

Tasks you may carry out for the Solid Plasterer role :

·    Study plans, examine and measure the surfaces for plastering, marking, and estimating plasterboard and plaster mix materials required

·    Select and prepare the appropriate plastering materials for different projects and ensure selected materials is available on site

·    Protect non-plastering surfaces with appropriate materials and prime surfaces for plastering  

·    Apply plaster and mesh systems to building surfaces.

·    Apply plaster texture finishes as specified to a high standard.

·    Grooming plastered surfaces to a standard suitable for painting.

·    Masking and silicon of dwelling where and as required.

·    De-masking and final grooming of plastered/ painted dwelling.

·    Plastering or rendering AAC panels, concrete or brick walls.

·    Mixing with the right quantity of plaster materials, cement and other materials to building walls, floor and other building structures using trowels to smoothen and level, so that the thickness of the plaster is uniform.
