Are you passionate about building secure, scalable, and user-friendly digital commerce solutions? Our online payment platform company is growing, and we are looking to hire a talented E-commerce d eveloper to join our dynamic team.
As an E-commerce Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our online payment and e-commerce systems. You will work closely with our product, design, and security teams to deliver innovative features that enhance customer experience and ensure smooth, secure transactions. This is a permanent full-time position, and you are required to work at least 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:30.
Key Responsibilities:
- E-commerce Platform Development – Design, build, and maintain online store features and payment platform integrations across web and mobile channels.
- Payment Gateway Integration – Implement and optimise secure payment processing systems (credit card, digital wallets, alternative payment methods) and ensure PCI compliance.
- Custom Module & Plugin Development – Develop and configure custom extensions, plugins, and APIs to support new functionalities and enhance system capabilities.
- System Optimi s ation – Monitor performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and improve site speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Security & Compliance – Apply secure coding practices, safeguard sensitive financial data, and align with global e-commerce standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
- User Experience Enhancement – Work closely with UX/UI designers to build responsive, user-friendly interfaces that ensure smooth customer journeys.
- Database Management – Maintain and optimise databases for transactions, product catalogues, and customer records.
- Integration with Third-Party Systems – Connect e-commerce platforms with CRM, ERP, logistics, and marketing automation tools.
- Quality Assurance – Conduct testing, debugging, and performance audits to ensure high system availability and reliability.
- Collaboration & Documentation – Partner with product managers, designers, and QA teams, while maintaining clear technical documentation for systems and processes.
- Continuous Improvement – Stay updated on emerging e-commerce, fintech, and web development trends to recommend and implement new technologies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- At least a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as an e-commerce developer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS , and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js .
- Experience with Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, or other e-commerce platforms .
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and payment gateway integration (Stripe, PayPal, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment;
Statistical modeling, particularly regression;
Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation;
Experience with SQL and data wrangling large datasets with Snowflake or similar;
Familiarity with data tools; ideally Snowpark, otherwise Redshift, Databricks, etc;
Good English and communication skills.
