Gig is a fun, vibrant and fast-moving workshop to work and we are looking for a full time mechanic. The job will entail: Vehicle servicing, diagnosis work, variety of mechanical repairs, brake and suspension, picking up parts and vehicles.
Requirements:
- Has an experience as an automotive mechanic for a minimum of 4 years
- Excellent understanding of mechanical techniques, methods and diagnosis.
- Must have at least Level 3 Automotive Engineering qualification.
- Maintain a high level of standards that adhere to company expectations and procedures.
- Experience in good customer service is an advantage.
- Can work unsupervised.
- Right attitude to get the job done, a very good work ethic, honesty and reliability is a must.
- Work hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, Saturday is optional.
- You will be expected to work for minimum of 32hrs a week.
- Easy going work environment and pay $33.56 per hour.

Your Job role:
You will have the ability to work independently producing a high standard of work. Full automotive skill set will be required. WOF endorsements would be an advantage but full training will be offered for the right candidate.
- Perform diagnostic testing and carry out necessary automotive repairs.
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies transmissions steering mechanisms and other components.
- Performing scheduled maintenance services

To be successful in this role you will have:
- At least 3 years’ working experience with light vehicles or NZQA level 4

· Qualified Automotive Technician / 3 years or more experience.
· Current WOF AVI certification would be a strong advantage.
