We are currently looking for empathetic and passionate support workers across our different services including community and rehabilitation, disability and social services. Whether you are looking for flexibility around other commitments or would prefer regular rostered shifts, we have a variety of permanent, full-time and part-time options on offer.
We are seeking Community Support Workers who are available to work weekends.
What does a Support Worker do?
As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support.
Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:
- Meal preparation
- Community outings and integration
- Giving medication
- Personal cares (showering, toileting etc)
- Home management

You will earn between $23.50 - $29.10 per hour, depending on experience and qualification.

What are we looking for?
- Attitude - a desire to help and support others, achieving excellence in all you do
- Previous healthcare or caregiving experience is desirable, although not essential
- Healthcare qualifications are advantageous
- Most positions require a full NZ driver's licence and your own reliable transport

Job Description
We are looking for support workers who can work full-time. These roles are permanent, and no experience is required. Successful candidates may be required to travel to multiple regions; travel costs and accommodation will be covered by the employer. A minimum of 30 hours per week is guaranteed.
What You’ll Do:
- Providing care that best suit the clients' needs, according to the routine in all activities of daily living.
- Providing emotional support by taking to clients about their needs and listening to their concerns.
- Assisting personal hygiene and dressing
- Assisting with domestic tasks including shopping cooking, cleaning, and washing
- Taking clients to doctor, or allied health appointments
- Assisting or arranging social activities in realistic approach
- Assisting Nurse in charge or allied staff to ensure daily schedule runs accordingly within the Facilities policy.
What We're Looking For:
- Successful candidate must have driver's licence and no criminal record.
- Must be able to pass drug test.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours.
- Experience required but not necessary with right attitude, on-the-job training will be provided.
