Purpose of the role
Following recent expansion, we are looking for anEditorial Assistant to be based in our Auckland North Shore office on a full time, 40 hours-per-week basis. In this role you will provide high quality administrative functions for in-house editors and writers to support the delivery of editorial content for, and management of, the Adis journals. Previous experience in conducting literature searches in biomedical databases would be advantageous.
Key tasks
Contributes to the oversight, management and reporting of manuscripts and journals, including:
- Finding peer reviewers
- Transferring manuscripts within the Adis journal portfolio
- Author communications
- Periodic reporting of key journal and manuscript metrics
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you ideally will have a recognised tertiary life/health science qualification and/or an information management qualification.In addition, the following skills and experience would be desirable:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated organisational ability, showing a methodical approach and strong attention to detail
- Fastidious documentation and recording of workflow tasks and activities
- Ability to work to customer deadlines in a collaborative and shared work environment
