About the role
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is seeking a new Fundraising Manager to lead the Fundraising Team through a pivotal season of growth and transformation as CAP launches its refreshed services.
Reporting directly to the Fundraising & Communications Director, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to bring strategic leadership and fundraising expertise to grow CAPs regular income streams and ensure long-term financial sustainability. You will contribute to the development and execution of strategies that expand CAP’s supporter base, strengthen donor engagement and improve retention.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Support and oversee the development and implementation of CAPs 3-year Fundraising Strategy
- Build, maintain and grow supporter engagement by fostering strong relationships and achieving income growth targets
- Provide fundraising expertise and to the Fundraising team, ensuring effectiveness
- Lead and manage direct reports, providing guidance and facilitating their professional development
- Develop and implement effective reporting and forecasting mechanisms for both regular and one-off income streams
- Ensure overall execution and growth of Gifts in Wills
- Build and manage Fundraising Budget

You’ll also bring relevant experience for the role:
- A strong personal alignment with the foundational Christian philosophy, organisational identity, culture, and values of CAP
- 3+ years proven experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing successful fundraising strategies
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles, donor engagement, and the ability to influence and inspire giving
- Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making abilities, with a proven track record of developing and delivering strategic initiatives
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams and driving performance
