Hotel Supervisor - Housekeeping
We are seeking a hands-on, enthusiastic and energetic team leader to deliver timely cleaning, thorough inspections and consistently high standards. The Housekeeping Supervisor will responsible for helping manage the team on a day to day basis, as well as rolling your sleeves up and getting the work done.
Duties as part of this role include but are not limited to the below:
- Supervising the Housekeeping Team and supporting them as working member of the Team
- 'Opening the house' allocating tasks and duties for the day
- Linen ordering for the week ahead
- Stock and cleaning supplies management, submitting required stock and cleaning materials order in accordance with delivery schedule
- Checking in regularly with management team to assist in any other pieces of business
- Implement and manage additional Housekeeping proceedures to ensure our standard is maintained
- Maintain and champion Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Be the first point of contact for attendance, rostering or any work related issues arrising from the housekeeping team
At times we would also like a team member that is willing to go out of their comfort zone, and at times may need to be able to assist the front desk in their duties.

- Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred of two years
- Attention to detail and a drive to improve standards

This role encorporates tasks from checking in our guests to helping breakfast and dinner service when needed. Varied role that keeps us on our toes servicing our guest's needs
Distinction Te Anau Hotel &Villas is nestled in the beautiful Fiordland region, with 113 well appointed rooms. We are looking for the next front of house superstars, two roles available, with their focus to be on guest needs. Working in operations to ensure smooth service from check in to check out, with the added benefit of helping other departments when needed
Job Duties and responsibilities
- Deliver a high level of service to meet and exceed our guests expectations
- Check-in/out guests using the property management system PMS at reception
- Taking payments and making sure the trasactions all balance
- Great communication skills to interact with both guests and coworkers
- Have full availability and flexibility to work a 7 day roster including weekends, and public holidays
- Ability to cover the over night shift
- Prior experiance in reception would be prefered

Hours of work
This is a full time position with a minimumof 30 hours per week and a maximum of 40 hours per week available. This is on a roster basis morning and evenings, Monday to Sunday including weekends, school holidays and public holidays to meet the hotel demand. Working in a similar role will be an advantage. Rate of pay depending on experiance from $27.00 to $30.00.
