Key Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:
- Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment;
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment;
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems and other electrical systems;
- Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services;
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently;
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training;
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions;
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act;
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements;
- Assembling and installing fixings i.e. cable trays and brackets;
- Fitting cables and laying conduit;
- Applying knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles in commissioning and maintaining control systems;
- Examining wiring diagrams to determine sequences and methods of operation;
- Installing and repairing business equipment;
- Testing control systems and diagnosis faults;
- Selecting, cutting, pulling wire and cable to terminals and connectors;
- Repairing and replacing faulty wiring and defective parts;
- Installing Heat Pump and other Electrical items as per requirement

We are looking for 1-3 full-time (at least 30 hours guaranteed to maximum 60 hours per week, workdays from Monday to Sund ay) Electronic Technician to join our team permanently. The location of work will be within the Auckland Region.
You will need to have at least 1 years of relevant work experience in the same field or have a relevant level 4 or equivalent qualification/certificate, when being considered.
Electronic Service Technician is required to:
· Prepares for the equipment and system installation prior to each job as per the work specifications and layout documentation
· Installs the electronic equipment and control systems according to the specifications
· Exams and tests the equipment and operation system after installation, adjusts the settings when necessary
· Diagnosis, repairs and replaces faulty parts and solves systems errors ensuring quality standards are met
· Explains to customers how these control systems work and correct operating procedures, provides support to customer queries when required
· Keeps records of the diagnostics repairs and maintenance on each system
· Maintains and services all equipment and system to prevent malfunctions
· Follows correct company policies and procedures
· Adheres to health and safety legislations and regulations

What you will do
· To perform service or repairs in a commercially acceptable time and to the highest possible standards by following manufacturers’, trade, legislative and company procedures.
· Ensure through correct diagnosis, and repair practices, rework is minimised.
· Keep the work environment clean and safe and maintain a clean and tidy work environment during each repair so that a professional image is presented to our customers and colleagues.
· Maintain the highest possible standards of personal presentation by ensuring that unclean overalls are changed regularly.
· Take responsibility for the care and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment and ensure they are returned to the correct place.
· Ensure a clear; logical, easily read, description is recorded at the completion of each job detailing all actions taken to ensure that the correct information is available for invoice generation.
· At the completion of each job ensure all items used during a repair are recorded, via the systems provided, so that they are correctly accounted for.
· Ensure all working times for payroll, and customer charging purposes, are recorded accurately.
· Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by management.
The successful applicant will
· At least 3 years of relevant and verifiable experience
· Trade Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering (Level 4) or its equivalent (Preferred (but not essential))
· Hold current Drivers Licence Classes 2 – 5 or equivalent (or be prepared to commit to obtaining)
· Flexibility to meet the demands of the operation including working shift work and spending nights away from home.
· A dedication to Health & Safety in the workplace
· Ability to pass a workplace medical exam including drug and alcohol testing.
· You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
