About the Role
Zen Art Limited is seeking two enthusiastic and reliable cooks to join our busy kitchen team in Christchurch. The ideal candidates will be passionate about food, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining high culinary standards.
Key Tasks:
Prepare and cook menu items to company standards
Ensure all food is prepared in line with food safety and hygiene requirements
Assist in menu planning and daily specials
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area
Work effectively within a team to meet service deadlines
Follow all health and safety procedures
Pre-requisites:
Three years of relevant work experience in a commercial kitchen, with a minimum of one year specialising in Asian cuisine.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Ability to work under pressure during busy periods
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
