At BWORTH LIMITED, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator to join our team. This is permanent full-time employment with a minimum of 35 hrs/week. Our team comprises passionate experts who are dedicated to understanding clients' (Residential and Commercial) unique vision.
Responsibilities include
- Assisting the team in completing heavy structural fabrication for residential and commercial projects

Read and interpret technical drawings to fabricate and assemble components accurately
- Cross-checking design specifications before starting to cutting work

Operate and maintain workshop equipment, including welders, benders and general machinery

Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safe
- Performing quality checks throughout the fabrication process
You should have one of the following;
- Minimum previous 2 years relevant work experience in welding/fabrication OR a relevant level 4 qualification or higher

High level of competency across general fabrication tasks

Ability to work independently and take ownership of jobs

Confidence in reading and understanding engineering drawings

Successful applicants will need to perform below tasks:
- Studying blueprints drawing and specifications to determine job requirements
- Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes torches and metal cutting machines
- Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools
- Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
- Joining metal sections using various welding techniques bolting and riveting
- Examining welds for width of bead penetration and precision
- Finishing products by cleaning polishing and filling
- Cleaning and smoothing welds by filling chiselling and grinding
What we offer you:
The guaranteed working hours is a minimum of 30 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $28-32, subject to your skills and experience.

- At least two years relevant working experience

We have a role available on a large project that requires precision fabrication and excellent welding skills. Starting late January this project is in Auckland and will run for 3-6 months.
You will be a boilermaker, fabricator or sheetmetal worker with several years experience in fabrication and welding in an industrial environment.
The work will involve mainly ARC welding, fabricating with and without drawings with both steel plate and pipe (balustrades/safety rails).
Skills + Experience:
For this role you will need:
- High Level of Experience in Fabrication / Boilermaking or Sheetmetal
- The ability to pass a weld test in 4G (ARC). You will be required to sit and pass an in-house weld test prior to starting.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
- A very high standard of plate fabrication skills, with demonstrated experience
- The ability to fabricate both with and without drawings
- Have a clean criminal record and be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Pay rate is $55-$65 per hour along with an overtime rate
- Regular opportunity/potential for longer term for the right candidates

This is a great opportunity to join a skilled team and work on diverse metal fabrication projects in a supportive, safety-focused environment. These roles offer a minimum of 30 hours per week, with day shifts or as rostered depending on project requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and Manual ARC techniques
- Fabricate and assemble structural metal components and systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications
- Select, clean, and prepare metal stock and materials
- Cut metal sections using hand tools, flame cutters, and metal-cutting machines
- Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using tools, machines, or heat and hammering
- Align and join metal components using welding, bolting, or riveting
- Operate and maintain CNC and other metalworking equipment (folders, cutters, etc.)
- Inspect and test welds for strength, accuracy, and compliance
- Finish products by grinding, polishing, filing, or chemical treatments
- Follow health and safety standards and maintain a tidy, well-organised workspace
