Cake Passion in Flat Bush currently look for a hardworking and reliable Pastrycook to join us. Working hours is from 35 to 40 hours per week. Pay rate ranges from $30 to $32 per hour.
Suitable candidates must have the following skills and attributes:

Minimum 2 years relevant work experience.

Can work until 6.30pm; available to work on weekends and public holidays.

Physically fit for heavy liftings or standing for extended periods.

Have strong multitasking and organizational skills.

Reliable and punctual, can work independently as well as in a team.
Your duties will include:

Check the cleanliness of food preparation area and baking equipment.

Check oven and baking equipment to ensure everything works well.

Check the quality of raw material, weight and measure ingredients.
-
Knead, mature, cut, mould, mix and shape dough.
-
Prepare fillings, sauces, cream, icing.
-
Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking time.
-
Remove baked goods from oven and cool baked goods.
-
Glaze buns and pastries, decorate cakes with cream and icing.
-
Perform any other related duties.

Managing the stages of shaping, placing in ovens, baking, removing, extracting from pans, and cooling batches of baked goods.

Applying glazes to buns and pastries, as well as embellishing cakes with frosting and decorative finishes.

Handling equipment designed to shape dough and portion biscuits.

Clearing, washing, and lubricating baking sheets, molds, and other culinary tools.

Job Description:
