NBD Construdtion Limited is a fast growing plumbing gas fitting and drain layer company in Domestic and commercial sector based in Auckland. Recently, we have had an increase in work schedsule across multiple sites in New Zealand. 

We are looking for some plumbers to join our team. You are required to have at least 2 years working experience or relevant level 4 qualification. 

Candidate will need to perform below main tasks:

• Installs and repairs water, drainage, gas and sewerage pipes and system.

• pay 29.66NZD to 40NZD per hour based on your skills

Here’s what we need from you:

• Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years' relevant work experience in the same field or industry （ Full registration as a plumber is not compulsory, training will be provided, exemption license can be accepted ） ,OR
• Have a relevant level 4 qualification or above （ equivalent overseas qualification can be accepted ）

Tasks:

• Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
• Cut, assemble and install pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures
• Install waste disposal, underground sanitary, drainage, and water supply piping systems
• Install and maintain water supply system
• Utilize hand tools in fitting of valves, couplings and components for tanks, pumps or other plumbing system
• Dig trenches/install pipes and piping fixtures for water or sewage systems
• Mount hangers and brackets on walls to provide support for pipes
• Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders
• Ensure compliance with building codes and set safety standards

• Minimum guaranteed hours of work: 30 hours per week. Roster from Monday to Saturday

• Experienced plumber with strong residential maintenance background.
• QBCC Licensed Plumber & Drainer (NZ tradies welcome — we’ll support QLD licence transfer).
• Ideally gas licence (or willing to upskill).
• Professional presentation, reliable, and customer-focused.
• Confident communicator — able to explain issues and quote clearly.
• Computer literate and organised on the job.

Role Overview:
As an Trainee Plumber & Drain Layer, you will work alongside experienced professionals to learn the core skills needed to become a qualified plumber and drainage specialist. This hands-on position will provide you with valuable training and exposure to various plumbing and drainage systems, tools, and techniques. Whether you're installing, maintaining, or repairing plumbing and drainage systems, you'll gain comprehensive experience in the trade.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, pipes, drains, and fixtures.
• Learn to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure correct installation of systems.
• Assist with excavation, trenching, and laying of drainage pipes.
• Provide support in diagnosing and troubleshooting plumbing and drainage issues.
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to further skills and knowledge in plumbing and drainage.

Requirements:

• A strong interest in plumbing, drainage, and construction trades.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• A full driving license (preferred but not essential).
