Sales Consultant - Wairarapa, Tararua & Hawkes Bay region

About the Role Due to an internal transfer we have an opportunity to join our lower North Island sales team. Are you seeking a role that offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a genuine impact on New Zealand’s primary sector? CRV is looking for a driven, self-motivated sales professional with a solid background in dairy farming and a passion for helping farmers succeed through tailored genetic solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and represent CRV’s range of genetic products and services.
  • Collaborate with dairy farmers to develop and implement customised breeding plans.
  • Provide ongoing post-sales support to ensure customers meet their herd improvement goals.

Location: The sales territory for this role is Wairarapa, Tararua, Hawkes Bay region, so ideally the successful candidate would be located in a central position to service these areas.

About You
You’ll bring hands-on dairy farming experience and a deep understanding of the NZ dairy sector, including seasonal cycles and on-farm decision-making. While experience in animal breeding or genetics is advantageous, it’s not essential — a curious mindset and eagerness to learn are key.

You’ll also demonstrate:
  • Strong self-management, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Confidence in communicating the value of CRV’s solutions to farmers.
  • A collaborative approach to relationship-building across teams and with customers.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and attention to administrative detail.
  • A successful track record in rural sales is highly desirable.
