About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Physiotherapist with a passion for rehabilitation and excellent patient care, with leadership experience or interest, to join our Interim Care Service at Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora Waitematā. This is a part-time role; in which you will be working alongside an established inter-disciplinary team, providing rehabilitation to patients who are temporarily unable to return home. This role is a leadership role, supporting the ICS physiotherapist and allied health assistants in their day to day work. The senior works closely with the senior occupational therapist, senior social worker and charge nurse manager, to ensure service provision is effective, efficient and quality care and outcomes are achieved. The role is primarily based at North Shore Hospital however some days can be based at Waitakere Hospital. The successful candidate will be required to ideally work Mondays, and Thursdays with the other days to be negotiated. About the Team / Service / Location The Interim Care Service is primarily for patients who have presented with acute injuries or conditions that require short-term admission to a contracted Aged Residential Care (ARC) facility for a period of recovery and rehabilitation. The allied health ICS team works alongside the ICS charge nurse manager to provide rehabilitation to patients, primarily with non-weight bearing injuries or conditions, for whom discharge to their own home is not appropriate in the short term. You will be providing ongoing assessment and rehabilitation within ARC facilities, working on patient's goals to promote independence with function and mobility in order to facilitate discharge home as soon as possible. The ARCs are located within our Waitematā DHB catchment area within the North Shore and West Auckland areas. We have a lot to offer you : (see link to Position Description for full details)

- New Zealand Professional Registration and valid APC
- 5+years of recent inpatient and / or rehabilitation experience
- Effective and dynamic leadership skills and experience
- Strong role model
- Ability to lead, support and mentor / supervise junior staff and students
- Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written
- High level clinical assessment skills,
- Excellent time management and a proactive, solution focused approach
