We manufacture, supply, fabricate and place the highest quality reinforcing steel. We have a permanent full-time position for experienced Steel Fixers based in Cromwell. You will be working with a superb team and may travel and work on job sites around the South Island and within New Zealand. You will have the opportunity to work on some of New Zealand’s largest construction projects and develop and progress within the company.
Job details- Job: Permanent Full Time
- Location: Nationwide
- Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
- Current Vacancies: 6
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Hours: 40 per week
- Handle straight and pre-bent steel safely and efficiently
- Tie reinforcing steel cages or other similar work as directed
- Ability to understand layouts, drawings and production detail sheets
- Knowledge of safe usage and handling of all tools, machinery and testing equipment
- Ability to problem solve and assist in improvements of installation processes
- Minimum 2 years' experience in steel fixing
- Ability to read and understand drawings and plans
- An excellent attitude towards work and always reliable
- Candidates with a relevant NZQA Level 2 or 3 qualification will also be considered
- A good understanding of health and safety in a construction environment
- Ability to work additional hours including weekends if required
- Full New Zealand Drivers License
- Site Safe accreditation would be preferred
