About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Service Manager  to oversee and support our residential and commercial cleaning teams. This is a leadership role that combines operational supervision with hands-on cleaning duties, team support, and responsibility for ensuring exceptional service standards are consistently met across all jobs.

You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, assisting cleaners on-site as needed, responding to urgent job requirements, and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction. This role requires flexibility and availability to respond to operational needs across all shifts – including after hours, weekends, and public holidays.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, Supervise and organising daily cleaning operations across multiple job sites
  • Participate in hands-on cleaning tasks if required (e.g., vacuuming, mopping, dusting, disinfecting kitchens/bathrooms, window cleaning, etc.)
  • Support and assist cleaners during shifts to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Conduct site checks and ensure all work meets company and client standards
  • Manage scheduling, allocate resources, and coordinate staff availability ensure smooth business operations and the provision of accurate and timely information
  • Respond promptly to client feedback, complaints, and urgent issues
  • Developing and Promoting facilities and services to potential customers
  • Managing subcontractors to ensure efficient and timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Coordinating with property managers when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S policies, safe work practices, and use of correct chemicals and PPE
  • Maintain clear communication with staff and management teams
  • Train, mentor, and support new team members to ensure high performance
  • Monitor supplies and equipment use, and coordinate replenishments as required
  • Ensuring staff compliance with Health and Safety regulations.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the cleaning or facilities sector (minimum 2 years preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with residential and/or commercial cleaning
  • Strong understanding of OH&S procedures and cleaning best practices
  • Ability to lead by example and work alongside the team when required
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must be physically fit and capable of performing cleaning duties
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Mobile phone with internet/data access
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call 24/7 as operational needs require
