We are looking for a Team Leader for our busy horticulture company. This is a full-time permanent position and will consist of managing a team of 6 to 10 workers who are working in our contracted orchards.
We do not require any qualifications or experience - however, we are looking for a person who has the right attitude. You must be hardworking and have good availability (such as weekends). You should have excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and be able to work independently to reach goals. You must be able to multitask and will be able to complete work in set time frames.
You will be also expected to perform management tasks such as preparing the time and wage records for staff, creating reports for work, communicating with farmers and growers, assisting with financial transactions, working with supervisors and other higher managers to ensure that the operations of the orchards are efficient and staff management and training. You will be solely responsible managing your team to ensure that a high standard of work is being completed.

We offer competitive rates and are looking for motivated hard working candidates to join our team on a full time (guaranteed 30 hours per week, roster from Monday to Saturday, 7am-7pm) and permanent basis. Additional hours may apply based on workload. The location of work will be various construction sites within the Auckland Region.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
· Read plans and specifications to determine requirements and placement of hydro excavators on the job site
· Fill water tanks before each project and ensure that all valves are properly secured and shut
· Drive hydro excavator trucks to and from each project site in a punctual and responsible manner
· Operate hydro excavators in desired locations, placing special focus on provided instructions
· Load and unload hydro excavator attachments and ensure that all associated tools are used in a safe manner
· Operate controls according to specifications for strength and consistency
· Clean hydro excavators at the end of the day to ensure that they remain in good working condition, and to minimize breakdowns and downtimes
· Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
· Ascertain that all safety and precautionary measures are put into place before, during and after each project
Job Requirements
· Must have full Class 1 driver's licence and own reliable transport
