We are looking for a Machinery Operator for our busy horticulture business based in the sunny Bay of Plenty. This is a full-time permanent position and will consist of operating and maintaining orchard machinery.
To be considered for this position you’ll have at least a qualification at Diploma level (Level 4) or at least three years of previous experience in the agriculture or horticulture industry. You must have a current driver’s license (either a New Zealand license or an international license with no issues which would prevent a conversion of the license). You should have excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and be able to work independently to reach goals. You must be able to multitask and will be able to complete work in set time frames.
You will be also expected to perform tasks such as operating and maintaining our orchard machinery including tractors, completing repair work and assisting in the procurement of new machinery, completing paperwork as required and ensuring the highest quality of work possible. You will be solely responsible for operating and maintaining orchard machinery.
