As a baker your responsibilities include:
- Inspect and clean all bakery equipment and machinery before and after production, ensuring compliance with food safety and occupational health regulations.
- Check the quality of raw materials and ingredients, accurately weighing and measuring to meet recipe and production requirements.
- Mix, knead, mould, cut, and shape doughs and pastry products using both manual methods and machinery.
- Prepare and manage pastry fillings and production processes independently to ensure consistency and quality.
- Monitor and regulate oven temperatures, bake products in batches, and ensure correct baking times for optimal results.
- Apply decorative finishes including icing, glazes, and cream to cakes, pastries, buns, and other baked goods.
