Are you a proven leader in shutdown and industrial services delivery? Tasman Rope Access is seeking a Site Manager to oversee the end-to-end execution of rope access and industrial projects within a refinery environment. This hands-on leadership role is key to upholding our high standards of safety, performance, and client satisfaction.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will manage high-risk site activities from mobilisation through to demobilisation, ensuring project delivery is safe, compliant, and efficient. You'll foster a high-performing site culture, mentor supervisors, and act as the primary client interface.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee shutdowns, confined space work, and rope access operations
Develop detailed execution plans and schedules
Lead safety initiatives and compliance with refinery permit systems
Build strong relationships with site stakeholders
Mentor and develop frontline leaders and project teams
Ensure accurate reporting, cost control, and asset management
About You
You’re an experienced site leader who thrives in high-risk industrial settings. With strong communication skills and a safety-first mindset, you're confident managing multidisciplinary teams and working directly with clients to deliver operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
IRATA certification or rope access supervision experience
Background in mechanical, fabrication, or electrical trades
3–5 years in shutdown/industrial project delivery
Strong WHS knowledge and refinery experience preferred
Confined Space, WAH, Gas Test, EWP, Forklift tickets desirable
Strong reporting, planning, and digital tool proficiency
