Work Location: Invercargill, Southland
Employment type: Full time (guaranteed 30 hours Minimum per week, if needed 40 hours Maximum will be provided)
The shift for our position will be Monday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Our pay: Minimum $24.50 per hour to Maximum of $32.00 per hour
We are a well-established Café and Restaurant based in Invercargill. To enhance our team, we are now looking for 2 FOH to join our team. We are expecting someone who has a passion for food, attention to details, ability to multi task and be a proactive member of the team.
No prior work experience is required for this role but could be an advantage. Priority will be given to local NZ residence/citizens. We will provide full training for successful applicant.
This position will be required to assist in preparing beverages such as coffee, tea and chocolate milk, preparing food and serving customers whenever required.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
· Assisting baristas in carrying out their regular duties
· Preparing ingredients to ensure that they meet all quality requirements
· Assisting in preparing food with grills, microwave, and other cooking equipment
· Informing manager when stock is low, checking quality of the finished food to make sure they are fresh
· Cleaning all equipment surfaces, work areas, and other areas in the store to make sure the kitchen and store meets health and safety requirement
· Assisting in arranging the cabinet displays and making sure they are completed on time for opening
· Ensuring customer needs are satisfied, greeting customers, answering questions, making recommendations, accepting orders and payments, assisting in serving food to customers
· Cleaning dishes and setting up tables for customers
The successful candidate must have:
· Physical fitness and good work ethic
· No criminal convictions
· Must able to pass the drug test.

To enhance our team, we are now looking for 2 cooks to join our team. We are expecting someone who has a passion for food, attention to details, ability to multi task and be a proactive member of the team.
Ideal candidates should have at least
· 1 years of relevant work experience at commercial kitchen, or same filed or industry OR
· a relevant level 2 or 3 qualification in cookery or equivalent certificates.
You are required to:
- Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Checking ingredients to make sure the quality and freshness
- Preparing and Cooking various dishes, fillings, sources in various equipment, utensils and grillers
- Measure and combine ingredients and raw materials using hands/hand tools and other equipment for traditional foods
- Seasoning, portioning, adding sauces to the food during/after cooking
- Preparing food to meet client’s taste and dietary needs
- Arrange food on plates or wrap it to be taken away
- Storing and reserving food
- Assisting in planning menus, estimating food and labour costs
- Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
- Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assisting with training and coordinating with other staff such as kitchen hands if needed
