About the Role:
We are currently seeking a motivated, experienced Sewing Repair Technician (2) to join our close-knit team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, altering, and maintaining workwear garments and other items to meet customer requirements and quality standards.
The successful applicant will primarily work with industrial sewing machines, carrying out garment repairs and alterations.
From time to time, you may also support other areas of the operation as part of our collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up industrial sewing machines with appropriate needle, tread and bobbins for each repair item.
- Perform garment repairs, patching, and alterations on workwear and other items using industrial sewing machines.
- Log in to the Repairs app and scan each item into the Apparelmaster system. Inspect and assess items for damage and determine appropriate repair techniques.
- Ensure all repairs meet our quality and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the sewing workspace.
- At least 3 years proven experience with sewing and garment repair (preferably in a commercial or industrial setting).
- Ability to operate industrial sewing machines with accuracy and efficiency.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset.

Customer Service: At St Pierre’s we pride ourselves on exemplary customer service. You will be required to uphold our principles and values when dealing with customers at all times.
Training and guidance will be given to all employees.
Food Preparation: You will be required to learn and participate in the preparation and presentation of food to a high standard. Please follow the manager’s instructions closely. This will most likely involve use of machinery, and knife handling.
Maintenance: You will be required to maintain equipment and facility in the premise to be ready for use before starting cooking and report to senior kitchen staff if you find them in a poor state.
Cooking: You will be involved in all stages of cooking, including cooking all types of ingredients (e.g. vegetables, meat, poultry, seafood) in a prescribed manner and handling cooking equipment and tools under the supervision of senior cooking staff.
Food Safety Program / Food Control Program: It is your duty to help keep the shop kitchen (food preparation areas, utensils, dishes, tools), shop front, dining area, bathrooms, exterior, and any other surrounding areas, in clean and hygienic conditions. Follow your manager’s instructions, and cleaning schedules and procedures. You may be required by MPI (Ministry of Primarily Industry) to
