Key Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, mask, and prime vehicle surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint and coatings.
Paint Application: Operate spray guns and other tools to apply primers, basecoats, clearcoats, and specialty finishes to vehicles, ensuring even coverage and flawless finishes.
Colour Matching: Accurately mix and match paint colours using computerized systems or manual techniques to meet customer specifications.
Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain spray booths, compressors, spray guns, and other tools to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Quality Control: Inspect finished work for imperfections (e.g., runs, orange peel) and perform buffing, polishing, or touch-ups as needed.
Safety Compliance: Follow workplace health and safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE, ventilation, and hazardous material handling.
Documentation: Record materials used, time spent, and work completed for job tracking and billing purposes.
Collaboration: Work closely with panel beaters, technicians, and customers to meet project deadlines and expectations.
Requirements:
2 years relevant industry experience or a level 4 or above relevant qualification
Capable of standing for long periods, lifting equipment, and working in a spray booth environment.
