Service Foods Christchurch Branch is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Class 2 Delivery Driver to join their team immediately.

As a Delivery Driver at Service Foods, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and in pristine condition.

  • Full-time permanent role .
  • Shift: Monday to Saturday
  • Hours: start between 04.30 am-05.00 am and finish in 8-10 hours (approx.)
  • Location: Cumnor Terrace, Woolston
  • Immediate start

The job:

You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of food products to various locations in and around Christchurch, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the integrity of our business.

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles (vans and trucks) to transport goods
  • Load and unload products, ensuring they are securely and safely transported.
  • Deliver goods according to customer orders in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
  • Provide outstanding customer service by interacting professionally with clients
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe and efficient delivery
  • Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly
  • Assist with other warehouse duties when not on delivery runs
  • Fill vehicles with fuel and report on any maintenance requirements.
  • Perform daily checks – oils, coolant, WOF etc.
  • Wash and clean trucks or other vehicles when required
  • Help warehouse team if needed

The candidate:

You will have the following skills and attributes.

  • A full Class 2 drivers license, must be able to drive manual
  • Have clear communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Christchurch and its surrounding areas is a plus
  • Reasonably good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Be confident, reliable, flexible and have attention to detail
  • Clean driving and criminal records
  • Have prior NZ experience and knowledge of basic food ingredients.
  • Be physically strong and fit; should be able to lift up to 20 kgs.
  • Possess good organizational and time management skills.
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude
  • Have reliable transport for commute
