Formwork Carpenter - Auckland Region
This is a permanent full-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours of work per week.
We're seeking experienced Formwork Carpenters to join our concrete construction team in Auckland. This role involves carrying out work accurately and productively in accordance with current New Zealand building code requirements and product specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Work under the direction of leading hands and site managers/supervisors
- Set out and profile building positions using grid and datum references
- Handle and place concrete for foundations and in-situ work above ground
- Fabricate and erect formwork and falsework
- Place precast concrete and break concrete using mechanical/pneumatic equipment
- Measure, cut, bend, and fit welded wire mesh and reinforcing steel
- Prefabricate reinforcing cages and install protective starter bar caps
- Set up mobile scaffolding (not exceeding 4m)
- Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment
- Handle concrete grinding, epoxy grouts, and cementitious materials
- Experience in formwork carpentry and concrete construction
- Physical fitness for heavy lifting and working in adverse conditions
- Ability to work accurately and follow detailed specifications
- Must have 2 years of relevant work experience
- Competitive hourly rate: $30-$40 per hour
- Ongoing work with an established concrete construction company

Job Duties you may need to perform routine tasks in erecting and repairing structures and facilities on building and construction site :
- Have a good work ethic

job done. - Physical fitness and a readiness to work outdoors on construction sites
- Loading and unloading building and construction materials, tools and equipment and transporting them around building sites
- Erecting and dismantling temporary structures such as barricades and scaffolding
- Mixing, pouring and spreading materials such as concrete, plaster and mortar
- Cleaning and carrying out minor repairs on stormwater drains and canals, and checking for cracks and leaks in sewerage systems
- Digging holes and shovelling excavated material onto conveyors, wheelbarrows and trucks for removal
- Spreading and levelling soil, gravel and sand on roads and driveways, trench bottoms and similar locations
- Assisting with assembling and installing piping, valves and fittings
- Assisting with installing fixtures such as toilets, wash basins and sprinkler systems
Qualification:
Level 1 qualfication or above or 6 month expereince

Job Title: Construction Labor
Job Location: Auckland
Number of people needed: 4
Days Required: Needs to be available from Monday to Saturday, between 7:30am to 6:30pm
May need to be available on public holiday
Hourly Rate: $24-$28.00
Hours per Week Guaranteed hours of work per week: Minimum 30 hours. Up to 50 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General assistance to different types of work:
Carpentry work in:
- Helping building wooden or part wooden items that form part of buildings (such as windows and stairs) both internal and external
- Helping building additional associated wooden items, such as furniture
General work in:
- Digging holes, and trench
- Removing rubbish from construction
2. Be able to assist with storage, lifting, fetching supplies, unloading, and checking deliveries
3. Be able to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair
4. Report health and safety-related problems/failures
5. Any other reasonable tasks required by the leader.

1. At least 6 months of relevant experience is required.
