What You'll Actually Do:
Engineer Viral Moments
Design thumbnails that make scrolling impossible—the perfect blend of curiosity and clarity
Write titles that promise value without clickbait disappointment
Create opening hooks that turn 5-second viewers into 10-minute fans
Push past safe "talking head" content to find formats that actually captivate
Build Content Strategies That Scale
Develop content roadmaps that compound—each video building on the last
Script narratives that maintain 50%+ retention (because that's where the algorithm rewards you)
Identify series and formats that turn one-time viewers into subscribers
Balance what brands want to say with what audiences want to watch
Lead Creative Excellence
Guide projects from wild idea to published video
Collaborate with editors to ensure every frame serves the story
Use data to evolve strategies—but never let metrics kill creativity
Build processes that maintain quality at scale
Who You Are:
You understand YouTube at a molecular level—not just trends but why they work
You generate more ideas before breakfast than most people do all week
You can explain why MrBeast's thumbnails work and apply those principles to a B2B software company
You thrive in remote collaboration and don't need constant supervision
You've grown or launched channels—even small ones—and learned from every video

The Reality:

You'll need to defend creative choices with data, explain why conventional marketing wisdom doesn't apply on YouTube, and maintain your vision even when easier options exist.
