About the Role
With a new branch opening and an internal promotion creating opportunity, we’re recruiting a Civil Site Engineer to join a highly capable and ambitious delivery team.
You'll lead boots-on-the-ground construction across energy infrastructure builds—from earthworks and trenching to concrete pads, cable ducts, and structural foundations. It’s a role with variety, autonomy, and real growth potential.

Be part of the King Air KA350 maintenance team based at Ohakea, New Zealand, that provides direct support to the Royal New Zealand Air Force Air CrewTraining Capability.

**Job Description**
Due to continued growth in the energy sector, we are expanding our Transmission & Distribution team and are seeking an additional Principal Primary Design Engineer to join our Auckland office.
**How you'll make a difference**
+ Support the delivery of transmission and distribution projects for public and private sector clients throughout NZ and Australia.
+ Act as Design Manager, Technical Lead or Lead Verifier on a range of projects.
+ Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to develop innovative, practical engineering solutions while proactively managing client expectations and ensure timely project delivery.
+ Coach and mentor graduates and early-career professionals to strengthen technical capability and support professional development within the team.
**Qualifications**

**The qualities that help you thrive**
+ A bachelor's degree in electrical or power systems engineering (or equivalent).
+ A minimum of 10 years' experience in substation design, including HV underground cable and switchroom design, ideally within New Zealand.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong client relationships and deliver high quality outcomes within tight timeframes.
