* Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
* Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including essential equipment, and event support.
* Provide technical support to the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions, which add capacity, improve availability, and increase efficiency.
* Supporting operating partners to lead, review, and approve designs for existing co-location (colo) data center upgrades which improve availability/efficiency.
* Interface with operating partners, data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered by operating partners.
* Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
* Initiate and lead engineering site audits within leased or colo data centers. Produce reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediation's.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Direct experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.

Preferred Qualifications

- Ability to carry design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment/mass production
- Basic understanding of both mechanical and electrical equipment/design related to data centers (Including but not limited to: uninterruptible power sources , diesel generators, electrical switch-gear, power distribution units, variable frequency drives, automatic/static transfer switches, chillers (air-cooled and water-cooled), pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, CRAHs, air economizers, etc.)
- Have fluent knowledge of continuous operating redundant electrical systems, cooling systems, air flow containment systems and building management systems. • Prepare Technical Drawings and Designs
• Develop detailed sketches, plans, tabulations, and layouts for renovation and canopy construction projects using CAD software and engineering standards.
• Modify existing plans to suit site conditions and client requirements, ensuring structural soundness. Conduct Site Assessments and Fieldwork
• Carry out on-site measurements, inspections, and feasibility assessments before initiating design or construction work.

Job Responsibilities  – Project Manager 

• Plan, organise, and manage the implementation of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all deliverables meet time, budget, and quality
• Prepare and monitor detailed project schedules and milestones; assess progress and implement corrective measures as required.
• Source and procure materials and equipment from local suppliers (Canopy Tech, Shade experts, SD Aluminium) and international suppliers from China (Foshan piny, Uogola, Fenxing) to maintain a seamless project workflow with efficient budget
• Supervise and lead site activities through Main builders and installation teams to ensure adherence to specifications, drawings, and safety standards.
• Oversee human-resource allocation and performance, delegating tasks and monitoring productivity of on-site teams.
• Ensure compliance with the New Zealand Building Code, council regulations, and the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
• Liaise with structural engineers, contractors, stakeholders, and the Auckland City Council, and obtain building, resource, and service consents.
• Conduct on-site inspections to verify quality and safety; maintain detailed progress documentation.
• Draft tenders and contract bids; negotiate terms with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
• Prepare AutoCAD drawings for As-built plans, alteration of projects as required, and consent approvals for large projects.

• Tertiary qualification - A degree in business, management, engineering, or IT is desired. A specific diploma or degree in project management is also useful.
