We're on the lookout for an experienced Engineering Lead to join our factory team in Christchurch . This is a full-time, day shift role in a hands-on manufacturing environment where you'll take the lead on maintenance, upgrades, and improvements across machinery and operations.

About the Role: As Engineering Lead, you’ll be responsible for:
  • Leading day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities
  • Planning preventative maintenance schedules
  • Troubleshooting breakdowns and overseeing repairs
  • Driving efficiency improvements across equipment and processes
  • Coordinating with production teams and contractors
  • Keeping safety, quality, and compliance top of mind at all times
What We’re Looking For:
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical background
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage priorities on the floor
  • Someone practical, reliable, and safety-conscious

**Job Description**
Due to continued growth in the energy sector, we are expanding our Transmission & Distribution team and are seeking an additional Substation Design Engineer with primary or secondary experience to join our Christchurch office.
**How you'll make a difference:**
+ Performing concept and detailed design of primary and/or secondary systems for transmission and distribution substation projects.
+ Preparing primary and/or secondary design drawings, specifications and reports.
+ Supporting senior engineers with the preparation of project and bid documentation as required.
+ Liaising with team leads, project managers and project team members to deliver designs within allocated time, budget and required scope.
**Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar.
+ 2-5 years' experience in substation design, ideally within a consultancy.
+ Experience working in teams and taking ownership of project deliverables.

+ Self-motivated with ability to take opportunities and drive learning and development.
