+ Supporting the concept and detailed design of transmission lines using industry-standard tools such as PLS-CADD.

+ Learning to design various foundation types, including grillage, direct-embed, and pile foundations.
+ Contributing to design reports and project documentation.
+ Participating in site visits and inspections to see your designs come to life.
**Qualifications**
+ **Bachelor's Degree:** A recently completed or soon-to-be completed degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

We currently have an exciting opportunity within Nestle Purina Petcare for a Project Engineer on a 2-year fixed term contract to join the Marton Factory, the home of TUX.
**A day in the life.**
+ Manage and / or perform the design, implementation and start-up phases of capital investment projects on the manufacturing site, within the defined scope of responsibility or specialisation.
+ Ensure objectives of the investment project charter, design and specifications and Nestle standards are implemented and adhered to.
+ Support the End-to-End Engineering Manager in developing the investment project charter and ensure that it is strictly followed throughout the project.
+ Execute the basic and detailed design of the project and ensure by design the workers, and operators, safety during both the construction and the ongoing operation of the plant.
+ Ensure that the engineering side of the project is implemented and coordinate internal teams, contractors and suppliers.
+ Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plant design, drawings, ITPs, and risk assessments.
**What will make you successful**
+ Degree/Diploma in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, E&A, Process, Industrial engineering, or similar).
+ Minimum 3 years' experience in project management in manufacturing with capital investment projects development and implementation in food industry.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards.
+ Proven experience in leading and coordinating diverse teams, including subcontractors and suppliers, to achieve project objectives.

**About the role:**
+ We are looking for a team player to strengthen our Electrical Discipline across New Zealand and deliver our existing backlog.
+ You will be working on our industrial, power, hydro, and infrastructure projects, delivering challenging, multimillion-dollar and multi-disciplinary projects across New Zealand, North America, Australia, and the Pacific. This offers a good balance between strengthening your core skills and taking increasing responsibility for work - all while also learning from Stantec's local and global experts and furthering your development.
+ You will contribute to the delivery of Electrical work packages, working as part of the project Electrical team under the guidance of a Principal Engineer. You will collaborate with Mechanical and Process engineers on multidisciplinary projects.
+ You will have client-facing opportunities and site work which offers variety in daily tasks.

**What you need to bring**
+ Our preferred candidate for this role will have technical experience in aspects of Electrical Engineering for infrastructure and industrial projects.
+ An understanding and experience with electrical systems and infrastructure design in NZ or Australia.
+ You will have experience in working to the requirements of relevant AS/NZS standards relating to Electrical Engineering areas that you can apply to project delivery.
+ You will enjoy working as a team and communicate well with others.
+ You will have proven experience in working in diverse teams and managing your own delivery.
+ You will understand the tools, including Electrical CAD and modelling software.
+ You will be comfortable dealing with external stakeholders including clients and utility companies.
+ In this exciting position, your own self-management skills will be as important as your technical ones. You will need to be able to prioritise workloads whilst maintaining strong and trusting working relationships with our clients' and colleague's both locally and across the broader Stantec team.
+ You will be able to work with remote teams to deliver projects to local clients.
+ Key requirements are a BE Electrical or equivalent, plus a minimum of 6 years professional experience in the consulting or engineering industry.
+ CPEng or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
