You work backwards from your customer to define a support strategy, deliver expert advice on AWS services in support of questions, project and launch planning and ongoing operational issues.
TAMs are engaged at the account level, providing recommendations and proactive advice through all phases of the cloud adoption life cycle.
Key job responsibilities

Make AWS service improvement recommendations that fit with your customer strategy and architecture

Champion and advocate for customer requirements within AWS (e.g. feature request)
Participate in customer requested meetings (onsite or via phone)

Work directly with Amazon Web Service engineers to ensure that customer issues are resolved as expediently as possible

The AWS Incident Detection and Response team is part of the Enhanced Support Services (ES2) organisation within AWS Support, and is dedicated to offering eligible AWS Enterprise Support customers proactive engagement and incident management to reduce the potential for failure and to accelerate recovery of critical workloads from disruption. We achieve these objectives by working closely with customers to develop runbooks and response plans customized to the context of each workload onboarded to the service. Onboarded workloads are monitored 24x7 by a team of Incident Management Engineers (IMEs) to detect and engage customers on a call bridge within 5 minutes of a critical alarm.

Basic Qualifications
- Professional oral and written communication skills, presenting to an audience containing one or more executive team member(s)

**Job Duties**
+ Ability to engage effectively with our partners, defining an appropriate technical engagement strategy aligned to the partner's desired Splunk based GTM objectives

Key job responsibilities

* Act as resident engineer during new colo construction projects. Support construction, commissioning, and handover.
* Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
* Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including essential equipment, and event support.
* Provide technical support to the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions, which add capacity, improve availability, and increase efficiency.
* Supporting operating partners to lead, review, and approve designs for existing co-location (colo) data center upgrades which improve availability/efficiency.
* Interface with operating partners, data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered by operating partners.
* Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
* Initiate and lead engineering site audits within leased or colo data centers. Produce reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediation's.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Direct experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.
- 6+ cumulative years of experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation, oil / gas facilities. (Experienced Engineer)
