This is a full time (Monday – Saturday) employment with minimum 32 hours a week. Employees may be required to work additional hours (max 40) depending on work. What the role includes:

·       Able to travel to different routes allocated for delivery.

·       Loading and unloading, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery heavy vehicle.

·       Follow route and time schedule.

·       Pick up the goods from the suppliers and deliver ahead.

·       Follow the instructions provided by the management.

·       Follow safety requirement when loading or unloading the goods/vehicles.

·       Regular quality checks of vehicles to make sure that they can be driven safely.

·       The truck must be tidy and clean in all conditions for the next person to operate.

·       Follow traffic law and regulations in accordance with NZ Transport Agency Law and 

        NZ Police.

·       Conduct yourself in professional manner.

·       Daily reporting to management regarding any delivery issues.

     What we are looking for: 

• Must be reliable and honest and punctual.
• Must have at least 1 year driving experience.
• Must be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting and loading and unloading.
• Full drivers Licence.
• Must be able to start early morning 4:30 am shift.
• A good attitude.
• Forklift/OSH is an advantage but not essential.
• The successful person will be required to pass a drug test, also we can conduct random drug test at work, satisfactory MOJ criminal check and driving assessment prior to commencement.

HT TRUCK DRIVER NEEDED

We are looking for

• Must have clean truck class 4 license (full) or equivalent.
• You should have at least 1yr of relevant driving experience

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to use handheld equipment for delivery purposes or willingness to learn to use one
• Carry out electronic logbook entries and electronic prestarts/inspections
• A positive working attitude and willingness to learn is crucial
• Need to be able to work unsupervised as well as work with a team. 
• Being punctual is critical to keeping on track with the delivery schedule
• Must be Physically fit - Heavy lifting is involved. 
• Loading and unloading the truck is involved.
• Delivery of dairy, baked and dry goods to customers in the Wellington-Otaki region. Training will be provided 
• Willing to start work in the early morning hours or at odd hours of the night
• Must be able to or willing to work on Public Holidays
• You will also be required to provide cover work for staff that take leave including emergencies
• Must be able to travel to and from work on your own. e.g., 12am start
• Honesty, reliability, customer focus, and a can-do attitude is a must have.
• You will need to follow any rules set up around the depot and the operation. Especially around Health and Safety
• Be able to demonstarte good customer service

ROLE

The full-time roles are based on a minimum of 30hrs of work and will be based on the days you are rostered depending on roster (Maximum hours is 50hrs).

This is a fast paced environemnt hence this role would not be ideal for someone who cannot maintain a pace or be an active worker.

Truck Driver

Description

We are looking for two Class 5 drivers. Below are the further details:

Hourly rate: $25-$32 per hour.

Minimum weekly hours: 30-40 each week. Any extra hours worked over 30 each week will be compensated at base hourly rate.

Requirements:

• Class 5 New Zealand licence or equivalent overseas licence

• Minimum 3-6 months driving experience preferred but no mandatory
