About the Role
With a new branch opening and an internal promotion creating opportunity, we’re recruiting a Civil Site Engineer to join a highly capable and ambitious delivery team.
You'll lead boots-on-the-ground construction across energy infrastructure builds—from earthworks and trenching to concrete pads, cable ducts, and structural foundations. It’s a role with variety, autonomy, and real growth potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee site operations on energy projects (substations, power farms, HV trenching)

Manage civil crews, subcontractors, plant, and materials

Ensure all works meet H&S, quality, and program targets

About You:
You will know how to run a tidy, productive site, and you’re confident delivering works that support critical energy infrastructure.

2+ years' experience in civil construction/infrastructure

Proven site leadership—earthworks, in-situ or precast concrete, cable trenching

Comfortable reading plans, managing crews, and liaising with engineers

Strong commitment to H&S and a hands-on, lead-by-example style

Rangi Limited is a well-established local manufacturer specialising in high-quality aluminium windows and doors. With a strong reputation for craftsmanship and innovation, we are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our dedicated team.
The company owns the cold-bending metal processing equipment in New Zealand, specialized in multi-angle bending for arch structures. It also has multiple machines for processing irregular construction materials, as well as welding and other related equipment.
Job Requirements:
The Role
As a Mechanical Engineering Technician, you will:
Prepare technical drawings, production plans and designs for aluminium windows, doors,and related manufacturing processes under the direction of Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists;
Assist in the design, testing and improvement of aluminium fabrication equipment, tooling, and production systems;
Select and maintain appropriate tools, machinery, and equipment used in aluminium cutting, extrusion, assembly, and finishing Assemble, install, and test new or modified mechanical assemblies, machine tools, and hydraulic or pneumatic systems used in aluminium manufacturing; Estimate material costs, quantities, and machine requirements to support factory production; Carry out field and factory tests on aluminium product systems and mechanical equipment to ensure quality and efficiency.
Collect and analyse technical data, carry out calculations,and prepare diagrams and reports for production and quality assurance;
Organise and supervise the inspection, maintenance,and repair of machines and plant used in aluminium products manufacturing.
Ensure all designs, production processes, and finished aluminium products comply with specifications, industry standards, regulations and contractual requirements.
Train and supervise the equipment operators;
About You
To succeed in this role, you should have:
Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or at least 3 years relevant work experience.Proven hands-on experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.Strong problem-solving and technical skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. A proactive attitude and commitment to high standards of workmanship.

* Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
* Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including essential equipment, and event support.
* Provide technical support to the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions, which add capacity, improve availability, and increase efficiency.
* Supporting operating partners to lead, review, and approve designs for existing co-location (colo) data center upgrades which improve availability/efficiency.
* Interface with operating partners, data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered by operating partners.
* Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
* Initiate and lead engineering site audits within leased or colo data centers. Produce reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediation's.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Direct experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.
- 6+ cumulative years of experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation, oil / gas facilities. (Experienced Engineer)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
- Ability to carry design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment/mass production
- Basic understanding of both mechanical and electrical equipment/design related to data centers (Including but not limited to: uninterruptible power sources , diesel generators, electrical switch-gear, power distribution units, variable frequency drives, automatic/static transfer switches, chillers (air-cooled and water-cooled), pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, CRAHs, air economizers, etc.)
- Have fluent knowledge of continuous operating redundant electrical systems, cooling systems, air flow containment systems and building management systems.
