About you

• Proven experience as Commercial Refrigeration Technician (3 years plus required)  

• Refrigeration and Air-conditioning trade qualification L4 or equivalent

• Experience with C02 a must, Hydrocarbon ideal not essential

• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC systems, and electrical components

• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• EST

• Current Driver's license.

• Able to contribute to afterhours on call roster.

- Must have an ability to read architectural drawings (desirable)

● Install, Service, and maintain all types of Air conditioning and refrigeration units and 
Ventilation systems. 
● Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC equipment 
● Perform preventative maintenance on systems to ensure optimal performance. 
● Provide excellent customer service and communicate technical information effectively. 
● Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all work performed. 
● Comply with all Health and safety regulations and procedures. 
What we are looking for  
● Formal Qulification in Airconditioning and / or Refrigeration 
● Minimum 4 Years of work experience as a HVAC Tecnition

This role is a full-time permanent position with a guaranteed 40 hours per week.
Reporting to the Technical Coordinator, your role is to provide exceptional support as part of a team of professional service technicians, responsible for carrying out operational, maintenance and repair works on commercial Chillers and HVAC equipment across New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
**Key Responsibilities Include:**
+ Carry out planned and unplanned service, maintenance and commissioning of all types of Trane chiller and heat pump equipment, air handling units and unitary air conditioning systems.
+ Accurate and timely completion of required paperwork related to work performed
+ Participate in the after-hours standby duty roster.
+ Fostering and maintaining professional working relationships amongst technicians and apprentices and continually demonstrating the ability to work within pairs and smaller teams
+ Comply with all safety, company and statutory policies and procedures at all times.
+ Actively participate in all company-facilitated training and service meetings as required by the company
+ As required by the company, facilitate on-site training for other technicians/apprentices as well as supervise work performed by an allocated apprentice.
+ Quote and bring new client leads for small service repairs
**To be successful in this role ideally you will have**
+ 5 Years experience/exposure to commercial HVAC Chillers
+ Valid full Driver's License (due to company insurance requirements)
+ Experience in A/C maintenance and Installations of all types
+ Good time management and customer service skills
+ Due to a number of our clients being in correctional or educational facilities all applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment police vetting check under VC 2014
+ Technical competence
+ Ability and confidence to work alone and in a team environment
+ Positive and proactive approach to safety
