Job Description
Experenced Chef's / Full-time & Part-time available.
A variety of positions are available across 3 establishments.
Establishments: The Station Bar & Bistro / The Duke of Gloucester / The Boardwalk Beach Bar & Bistro.
Must like being busy while delivering great food to the table and being able to cook a wide range of food styles.
We run a highly collaborative kitchen where all staff contribute to the menu development.
Key duties & responsibilities include:Junior Chef roles:
- Checking off stock against invoices on arrival
- Ensuring stock rotation
- Assisting with portion control
- Assisting with daily kitchen set-up
- Preparation of cold larder, salads, burgers & snack foods
Intermediate Chefs:
As above but with the addition of:
- Assisting with staff training
- Ensuring each dish is quality-checked
- Checking all refrigeration temperatures daily
- Ensuring all stock ordered to the correct quantities, quality & price
- Assist with presentation
- Cooking of all meals on the grill & mains
Senior Chefs:
As above but with the addition of:
- Assisting in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Making sure all staff are in the correct safety clothing each day
- Dealing with suppliers
- Directing all kitchen staff
- Attend senior staff meetings
- Enforce all health & safety regulations
- Assist with menu & labour planning and costings
- Cooking of all meals on the menus
- Training of all staff
Work experience required is 1 year for junior, 2 years for Intermediate, and 3+ years + for senior roles. Qualifications may be considered instead of some experience at the employer’s discretion.

Lowie is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented data entry personnel to join our client working in Mangere for a two-week assignment.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced data-entry administrator with payroll exposure has arisen to join a high-performing team in Whangārei to support the Holidays Act project . This full-time contract ensures you'll be busy and hands-on for the next 2-3 months.
Key Duties:
- Provide accurate data-entry support to the Holidays Act Team
- Sort and organise paper timesheet records
- Convert paper timesheets into digital format by entering data into the system
- Refile and archive processed paper timesheets
- Assist with various ad-hoc administrative and system-support tasks
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong data entry and administrative background; payroll experience is an advantage
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Fast and accurate typing/data-input skills
- Able to work well both independently and in a team
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office and capable of learning new platforms
