RADHA MADHAV LIMITED T/A PIZZA FUSION is looking for TWO motivated and committed Kitchenhand to join our store in WHANGAREI, NEW ZEALAND. You will be part of our dynamic team.
We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week with a pay rate between $24.00/- to $26.00p/h. You will be required to work as per the roster and be available on weekends and public Holidays.
Your key Responsibilities:- Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.
- Assist in organising regular stock-takes/inventory and verify deliveries against orders.
- Ensure the overall cleanliness and appearance of the kitchen.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
- Set up and maintain a tidy, efficient sink area.
- Complete daily Food Control Plan checks to ensure food safety and compliance.
- Assist in stock-taking and keep replenishment zones well-organised.
- Provide support across the kitchen team wherever needed.
- Prepare food for catering and regular orders.
- Ensure the kitchen remains clean, safe, and ready for service.
- Keep cooking areas clean and well-maintained.
- Collect used dishes, utensils, and glassware; operate the dishwasher efficiently.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, washing vegetables, and preparing salads.
- Support the Cook with food preparation and cooking as needed.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including washing dishes and cleaning benches, floors, and other surfaces.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Adhere to all hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.
- Handle, sort, and distribute food items safely and efficiently.
- Ability to work in a Multicultural Environment.
- Possess motivational and leadership skills.
- Team player and ability to work competently under pressure.
- Must hold a valid driving license to drive a car in NZ.
- Must be able to work across any shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Must be a non-smoker.
- Must be a fit, quick thinker, reliable, trustworthy, and self-motivated.
- Able to lift weights to 25kg.
- Multi tasking and also able to work in the busy hour.
