**About the role:**
Due to an internal promotion, we need to find someone to step into the role of Legal and Company Secretarial Assistant . You will be a highly capable, experienced "legal practitioner" who is looking for their next challenge. What better opportunity than to join our Legal team in Stantec. You'll be based in a fully refurbished office near Hagley Park with plenty of support from the local team .
The role is diverse and would suit a Legal Exec looking to diversify into a more commercial role, an experienced Legal Secretary who relishes getting to grips with Company Secretarial and Governance tasks .
**Key responsibilities include:**
+ Managing the corporate admin (including the establishment and wind-up of) our companies across the Asia Pacific region
+ Preparing Board Resolutions
+ Managing the signing of contracts and other documents by our Board of Directors
+ Maintaining Company Registers and Statutory records
+ Issuing authority letters and Powers of Attorney
+ General administrative assistance to legal team including meeting coordination and expenses
+ Assist with insurance queries
**About you:**
+ You'll have legal or company secretarial experience, preferably working with contracts
+ An ability and willingness to learn new skills
+ Able to work with little supervision and manage a busy workload
+ Have energy and initiative combined with problem solving skills
+ Be a strong communicator, with excellent planning and organisational skills
+ Familiarity with MS Office, PowerPoint and Excel is a must
+ Plus, sound attention to detail and accuracy

The Role:
They are currently seeking a highly motivated and hard-working person to join their Collections - Legal Processing team.
In this role you will be undertaking a range of legal administration, processing work. You will be preparing various legal documents, filing documents, preparing claim documents, scanning documents, liaising with the court processing department, client communication and following up on a lot of processes in between. You will also be doing some skip tracing of customers, using a variety of online tools and internal systems, to establish current details.
However, it is not all admin, there will be phone work required to call those who are not complying with their court orders, as well calls being made to organise attachment orders and other follow-up work.
About a 50/50 split on phone and legal admin work. So, you will need to be confident on the phone as well as having confident, speedy and accurate processing skills.
About You:
For this role, you do not need any legal experience. There is a strict administration process in place, which will be taught, so if you are keen to learn and you love administration, have good computer skills, and pride yourself on a good work ethic, then this could be a great role for you.
However, if you do have some previous experience in a Collections environment and understand the legal processes involved, that will be great.
