As a Solutions Architect, you will play a critical part in the full product lifecycle from interpreting complex requirements and designing innovative solutions to supporting deployment and ongoing improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and robust software architecture to meet customer needs and product goals.
- Collaborate closely with product management, system engineers, and other teams to translate customer requirements into actionable architectural designs.
- Drive a focus on scalable, long-term solutions, moving beyond bespoke fixes that only meet short-term needs.
- Act as the primary liaison between customer requirements, product management directives, and engineering teams to ensure seamless communication and implementation.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams throughout the design and development process.
- Implement best practices for security, ensuring all solutions meet stringent security requirements for on-premises deployments and cloud-based services.
- Support the integration of physical hardware and software components to ensure all elements work cohesively.
- Define a 3-5-year vision for product technology and work with stakeholders to turn this vision into actionable work items, considering resourcing and budgeting constraints.
- Prepare and present technical reports and insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the company in industry forums, demonstrating technical leadership and expertise.
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll have a strong technical background in architectural design, combined with a strategic mindset and a collaborative approach. You will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
You will also bring:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in application architecture, design, development, and deployment with stringent security requirements.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud ).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a proactive approach to design challenges.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with the ability to guide and develop engineering teams.
- Expertise in critical communications systems, including protocols and standards (a plus).

+ Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
+ Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
+ Drive continuous improvement on all related processes, work instructions, and procedures to ensure ongoing standardization and simplification of the Quality Management System.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
+ Experience in managing key accounts with a strategic focus and a thorough understanding of the capital sales process
+ Ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders including customers, KOL's, internal team members and GE Healthcare Leadership team
+ Sales and Account Management experience in the health care industry is desirable
+ Proven professional business acumen and strong presentation skills
+ Self-motivated, willingness to take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and take actions to improve
+ Willingness to travel within your specified geographic region as well as to nationwide sales meetings and tradeshows
+ Demonstrate behaviours including empathy, humility, integrity, and resilience

After comprehensive training and induction, you’ll take over an existing portfolio and be responsible for driving further sales growth.
The role is approximately a 70/30 split between Account Management and New Business Development . So, the willingness to cold call is essential.

Manage a dedicated Auckland territory – South and East Auckland , with autonomy to plan and execute your sales approach.

Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, while actively seeking out new business opportunities.

Meet face-to-face with clients and prospects regularly, supported by an efficient and talented internal team.

Provide technical packaging advice and deliver custom proposals that are sustainable, economical, and efficient.

Implement national promotions and introduce new product initiatives.

Work toward sales and profit targets – with strong systems and tools at your disposal.

Strong communication skills – personable, down-to-earth, and confident.
