Our Auckland Transport team is looking for a Structural Engineer to work on a range of major and medium-sized infrastructure projects such as Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi (Riverlink) and Inland Rail.

+ Learning to design various foundation types, including grillage, direct-embed, and pile foundations.
+ Contributing to design reports and project documentation.

**Qualifications**
+ **Bachelor's Degree:** A recently completed or soon-to-be completed degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

**Job Description**

**How you'll make a difference**
Our Auckland Water team are looking for a highly experienced and forward-thinking Principal Water Engineer /Water Design Specialist to lead the design and delivery of complex pressurised water distribution systems (Auckland location is preferred but Wellington-based candidates will be considered). In this role you will provide package leadership across all stages of project development-from early design phases (50%) through to detailed design (90%) and Issued for Construction (IFC) packages. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of water infrastructure, work in multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to sustainable resource management through innovative engineering solutions.
+ Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering designs, calculations, and hydraulic models, ensuring optimal system performance and efficiency alongside conducting and supervising site visits and assessments, offering expert technical support during construction phases.
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, and engineers, to ensure integrated and effective project execution.
+ Review and check complex technical drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance and ensure all designs comply with regulatory requirements and promote sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.
+ Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree would be advantageous. With chartered Engineer (CPEng) status or equivalent professional recognition.

+ Proficiency in advanced engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 12D and hydraulic modelling tools.
+ Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of handling multiple high-profile projects.
