Our Auckland Transport team is looking for a Principal Structural Engineer with strong local experience to lead major and medium-sized infrastructure projects such as Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi (Riverlink) and the Northland Corridor. About the Role

This hands-on role involves operating mobile cranes to lift, position, and install structural steel components on complex commercial sites. You'll work closely with our riggers, site supervisors, and crane coordinator to deliver safe, efficient lifting operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operate mobile cranes for steel erection in accordance with lift plans.

Conduct daily pre-starts, safety checks, and maintenance logs.

What We’re Looking For

**About the Role**
Due to continued growth, our Transmission & Distribution team is expanding, and we're excited to welcome a **Graduate-level Engineer** to support a wide range of impactful projects across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia.
**How you'll make a difference:**
As a graduate project engineer, you'll be mentored by industry experts while gaining hands-on experience in the design and delivery of transmission line projects. You'll be involved in:
+ Supporting the concept and detailed design of transmission lines using industry-standard tools such as PLS-CADD.
+ Assisting with structural assessments and designs of towers and poles using Excel, PLS-TOWER, and PLS-POLE.
+ Learning to design various foundation types, including grillage, direct-embed, and pile foundations.
+ Contributing to design reports and project documentation.
+ Participating in site visits and inspections to see your designs come to life.
**Qualifications**
+ **Bachelor's Degree:** A recently completed or soon-to-be completed degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
+ **Graduate Year:** You must have completed your studies and have graduated before starting the program.
+ **Commencement:** You must be able to commence work by February 2026. We are open to mid-year finishers who are able to commence by July 2026.
+ A strong interest in transmission line design and a desire to work in the energy infrastructure sector.
+ Familiarity with design software (e.g., PLS-CADD) is a plus, but not essential - we'll train you!

**Job Description**

Our Auckland Water team are looking for a highly experienced and forward-thinking Principal Water Engineer /Water Design Specialist to lead the design and delivery of complex pressurised water distribution systems (Auckland location is preferred but Wellington-based candidates will be considered). In this role you will provide package leadership across all stages of project development-from early design phases (50%) through to detailed design (90%) and Issued for Construction (IFC) packages. • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (graduating 2024 / 2025)

• Completed student placement hours on civil construction projects (essential)

• Full Class 1 driver’s licence (Class 2 + WTR are a bonus)

You'll lead boots-on-the-ground construction across energy infrastructure builds—from earthworks and trenching to concrete pads, cable ducts, and structural foundations. It’s a role with variety, autonomy, and real growth potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee site operations on energy projects (substations, power farms, HV trenching)

• Manage civil crews, subcontractors, plant, and materials

• Ensure all works meet H&S, quality, and program targets

• Report site progress to the Contracts Manager

• Mentor junior crew and contribute to a high-performing team culture

About You:

You will know how to run a tidy, productive site, and you’re confident delivering works that support critical energy infrastructure.

• 2+ years' experience in civil construction/infrastructure

• Proven site leadership—earthworks, in-situ or precast concrete, cable trenching

• Comfortable reading plans, managing crews, and liaising with engineers
