Nail Technicians

We are seeking 2 qualified and experienced members to join our team. The success of our business has been built on the impeccable work and great customer service. Each beauty care session is an opportunity to make a memorable impression, so we’re looking for someone that can provide both stunning work and hospitable services.

This role is based on permanent and full-time employment (minimum 3 0 hours/ week), overtime shifts are available as per business needs. Applicants must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including late nights, weekends and holiday periods. Adhering to high service standards, it’s important that you’re comfortable with small talks and can make clients feel at ease. The job location is in Palmerston North New Zealand. 

The ideal candidates will have

Technical skills

  • At least 2 years of proven , relevant work experience .
  • Skills in gel polish manicures and pedicures, nail extensions and nail arts
  • Dipping powder and advanced nail arts design skills
  • Good knowledge and use of chemicals for nail & eyelash treatments
  • Adopt a perfectionist attitude and perform each treatment to their highest standards
  • Follow safety protocols, including instrument and equipment sanitation
  • Can perform hand and foot massages

Customer service

  • Deeply care about clients and want to make them feel at home
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable with one-on-one conversations
  • Bringing the heartiest principles to service offerings and sensitive to other cultures
  • Be flexible with client requests, be driven with creative thinking

Attitude

  • Proactive and can work under minimum supervision
  • Energetic with a positive can-do attitude
  • Willing to step up to challenges and make an effort to meet them

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Perform manicure, pedicure, and acrylic nail services to customers.
  • Analyze nail conditions and provide suitable nail treatment to the customer.
  • Provide excellent customer service by fulfilling customers expectation of nail grooming, massage and exfoliation, and polish application ang nail art.
  • Provide manicures (clean, cut, buff, shape, and polish customers’ nails) and spa pedicure (treat customers’ feet and toenails) .
  • Ensure the sanitary of all equipment, cleaning and disinfecting all tools on a daily basis .
  • Understand and explain the ingredients and product benefits for the nail care of both hands and feet and educate client as needed .
  • Perform body treatments such as massage customers’ hands and feet .
  • Advise customers about nail care and treatment and refer customers to health professional in case of any nails diseases (e.g. in-growth nails, double nails) .
  • Provide answers to inquiries or direct inquiries accordingly .
  • Promote salon services .
  • Attend scheduled meetings and trainings .
  • Safeguard customer experience and report incidents or accidents.

Job Description:

Extrastaff, a Labour Hire Company, is hiring full-time Construction Technicians for deployment on infrastructure and commercial construction projects throughout New Zealand. Positions are full-time and permanent, with site location based on project demand

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Tasks required of you that is within your skills and capabilities that is necessary for the business of the company.
  • Comply with all aspects of any contract, project or task and deliver customer services that meets or exceed the expectation of the customer or the Extrastaff business.
  • Erect Scaffolding or ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
  • Creating structures, forms or chutes and pouring concrete.
  • Cover subfloors with building paper to keep out moisture and lay hardwood, parquet, or wood-strip-block floors by nailing floors to subfloor or cementing them to mastic or asphalt base.
  • Fill cracks or other defects in plaster or plasterboard and sand patch, using patching plaster, trowel, and sanding tool.
  • Position and secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms, using fasteners, rod-bending machines, blowtorches, or hand tools.
  • General labouring cleaning construction sites as required by managers
  • Loading and unloading building and construction materials, tools and equipment and transporting them around building sites.
  • All other duties as assigned.


 

Skills and experience required:

 

  • Some experience in construction industry is preferable, but not essential.
  • Friendly, with good time management, & excellent work ethic are essential
  • Time management skills
  • A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry
  • Sound knowledge of H&S procedures
  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Fabricate and install custom joinery and cabinetry
  • General framing, fix-outs, door hanging, skirting and architraves
  • Measure and cut materials with precision
  • Work as part of a team
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace
  • Collaborate with other trades where needed
  • Must be able to pass Criminal Check and Drug Test


 

Nationwide Opportunity and Travel:Although this role is listed in Marlborough, we are recruiting for positions to be deployed across all regions of New Zealand, depending on project requirements.For for clarification, these regions are 

North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui,  Wellington.

South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland.
