Job Description
This role is for NZ citizens or resident visa holders only, Employer is not providing support in visa.
We are looking for a full-time Quantity Surveyor to join the company in Auckland.
You'll be responsible for:

Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural and engineering drawings; develop and monitor project budgets; provide cost forecasts.

Tendering & Procurement : Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities (BOQ); liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations; evaluate tenders and recommend suitable contractors.

Contract Administration: Manage contracts and contractual claims; monitor and control costs; prepare progress payment claims, variations, and final accounts.

Project Financial Management: Track project expenditures; prepare financial reports; identify risks and propose cost-effective solutions; ensure compliance with project timelines and budgets.

Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to ensure clear understanding of cost implications; attend site meetings and provide cost-related advice.

Pay rate: $23.5 per hour

Days required: 5 days/week (must be available on Saturday or Sunday)

Hours per week: at least 30, maximum 55 hours/week
About You (Do not apply if you do not need any of the requirements below)

A relevant Master degree AND at least five years of relevant work experience is required

Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost control methods.

Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
