ACE Glass Limited was founded in 2018 with a team of experienced glaziers who supply and install glass balustrades, pool fences, shower boxes, partition walls, splash-backs, mirrors and a variety of other glass products for both residential houses andcommercial sites.
We are now looking for three experienced welders to join our on-site installation team. This is a permanent full-time position, and you are required to work at least 30 hours per week between Monday to Sunday between 9am to 6pm. The primary job responsibilities include:
- Reading and understanding blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements, plan and procedure
- Construct metal objects according to instructions.
- Select, purchase and prepare the type and quantity of metals to be used in the project.
- Measuring, cutting, shaping and bending materials according to specifications by using hand tools, flame cutting torches, metal cutting machines, heating and hammering
- Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
- Welding and joining mental sections together using various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting.
- Making jigs (of wood or metal) that hold parts in place for welding
- Examining welds for the width of the bead, penetration and precision
- Cleaning and polishing the welded metal, using acidic solutions if necessary
- Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints
- Repairing and maintaining equipment and machinery when needed
- Follow strict quality control procedures and Health & Safety Guidelines
- Any other duties as required by the employer
