We are looking for an experienced Class 2 Driver for a full time ongoing role in Christchurch with a Scaffolding company.

You will need to be a confident driver who holds a valid Class 2 licence.

The driving part of this role will be delivering materials to site.

Additionally you will be physically fit and happy to spend a large majority of the day labouring. The labouring aspect involves lifting of scaffolding poles and other heavy materials.

Scaffolding experience would be a bonus, but not essential - you will just need a willingness to labour and learn.

Site Safe is crucial but we can assist you in getting this if you do not hold it already.

You will need your own transport to get to site each day on the South side of town.

Your work day will start at 7am, finish time will vary based on workload but generally you will work around 50 hours per week.

We are seeking applicants to fill three permanent Lecturer – School of Iwi Development positions located in Christchurch and Taranaki with two 12-month programmes commencing semester 2, July/August in 2025 and a third commencing in Taranaki in semester 1, 2026.   These positions will provide iwi, hapū and whanau with an opportunity to have the Kai Oranga programmes delivered in their rohe.   

The Kai Oranga programme has mixed mode delivery including maara kai practicum, online tutorials, classroom activities, eLearning, assessment and evaluation, and Wānanga/marae based noho marae. 

We expect applicants to have 

·    Adult teaching experience

·    Experience in the delivery of the prescribed Kai Oranga programmes. 

·    A diploma in horticulture or relevant qualification or equivalent relevant work experience in the area of rongoa, horticulture or maara kai.

·    Permaculture design certificate or evidence of current study toward a permaculture qualification. 

·    An adult teaching certificate is desirable.

·    Understanding of, and experience using Māori organic and sustainable gardening and food growing practice.

·    Knowledge and experience using permaculture approach to maara kai practice.

·    Networks with one or more marae, and with iwi, hapū, whanau and/or community groups.

·    At least an intermediate level of Te Reo Māori skills and knowledge of tikanga Māori.
