Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Construction: Constructing frameworks, walls, floors, and roofs according
to architectural plans and engineering specifications. This includes accurately
measuring and cutting materials and assembling them to ensure structural integrity
and durability.
- Fixture Installation: Installing fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, staircases,
and trim work with precision and attention to detail. Ensuring fixtures are properly
aligned, secured, and functional to meet client expectations.
- Repair and Maintenance: Conducting repairs and maintenance on existing structures
and fixtures as needed. This involves assessing damage, replacing components, and
restoring functionality while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Tool and Equipment Operation: Operating a variety of hand and power tools and
equipment safely and effectively, maintaining tools in good condition, and following
Proper maintenance procedures ensure optimal performance.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other construction team members, including
architects, engineers, supervisors, and fellow tradespeople. Communicating effectively
to coordinate tasks, solve problems, and ensure project deadlines are met.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum relevant qualification at NZQF Level 4 or at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and
specifications. - Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced
environment. - Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and
standing for extended periods.

- Build timber and concrete forms

- Secure the form with nails, bolts, screws or anchor rods.
- Once the form is secure, concrete is poured between the walls of the form. The concrete is moulded and shaped by the design of the form as it cures and
- Build stairs, mantles, and furniture
- Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure
