**Job Description**
At AECOM, we're proud to deliver some of New Zealand's most complex and high-profile infrastructure projects. We are looking for an accomplished Principal Civil Engineer ideally with proven experience in aviation projects and construction monitoring and design to join our dynamic and growing Transport team. (Experience in aviation projects is not essential, but is preferred.)
You will be largely site-based undertaking construction monitoring and responding to RFIs on major transport infrastructure projects, you will collaborate with the ANZ Transport Team on the delivery of large-scale initiatives, and contribute to aviation infrastructure developments in Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin, Christchurch, and Queenstown.

+ Undertake specific construction monitoring, management and administration responsibilities as well as supporting project and construction teams in site inspections, on-site design queries and any changes required to the design/construction documentation
+ Be the primary point of contact with the client site team on key project and all technical matters.

+ Mentor team members in their development, facilitate opportunities that build competency.

If you have your WTR and some experience operating, or a Class 2 /4 licences and have had experience driving tippers and have worked on civil and drainage sites previously, we want to hear from you!
Ideally you will have:

- Trenching experience

Our Auckland Transport team is looking for a Structural Engineer to work on a range of major and medium-sized infrastructure projects such as Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi (Riverlink) and Inland Rail.

Due to continued growth, our Transmission & Distribution team is expanding, and we're excited to welcome a **Graduate-level Engineer** to support a wide range of impactful projects across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia.
**How you'll make a difference:**
As a graduate project engineer, you'll be mentored by industry experts while gaining hands-on experience in the design and delivery of transmission line projects. You'll be involved in:
+ Supporting the concept and detailed design of transmission lines using industry-standard tools such as PLS-CADD.
+ Assisting with structural assessments and designs of towers and poles using Excel, PLS-TOWER, and PLS-POLE.
+ Learning to design various foundation types, including grillage, direct-embed, and pile foundations.
+ Contributing to design reports and project documentation.
+ Participating in site visits and inspections to see your designs come to life.
**Qualifications**
+ **Bachelor's Degree:** A recently completed or soon-to-be completed degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
+ **Graduate Year:** You must have completed your studies and have graduated before starting the program.
+ **Commencement:** You must be able to commence work by February 2026. We are open to mid-year finishers who are able to commence by July 2026.
+ A strong interest in transmission line design and a desire to work in the energy infrastructure sector.
+ Familiarity with design software (e.g., PLS-CADD) is a plus, but not essential - we'll train you!
+ Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.
