Day-to-day activities include recording transactions such as income and outgoings and posting them to various accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of time management and organisational skills for maximum productivity.
It is a full-time role. You will be paid $30 -$40 per hour depending on experience. You will work a minimum of 30 hours a week . The job will be based in Christchurch, Canterbury region.
Objectives of this role
· keeping financial records, and maintaining and balancing accounts using manual and computerised systems
· monitoring cash flow and lines of credit
· preparing and producing financial statements, budget and expenditure reports and analyses using account books, ledgers and accounting software packages
· preparing quotations, invoices, purchase orders and bank deposits
· Bank reconciliations & month-end procedures
· verifying recorded transactions and reporting irregularities to management
· may be required to prepare forms reporting business tax entitlements and obligations such as the amount of goods and services tax paid and collected
Essential skills and attributes required:
· Have 3+ years within a bookkeeping role or a relevant level 4 or above qualification in commerce or equivalent
· Keen to be part of a growing company that values work-life balance
· Have experience using different accounting systems/software and be open to learning
new technologies
· Be a great communicator and enjoy an environment where good humour is encouraged
· Demonstrable ability to work independently.

*Undertake Menu planning in consultation with Restaurant / Store Manager.
*Oversee and participate in the preparation, cooking and plating of meals, snacks, sweets etc. *Ensure costings are worked out for food in consultation with Manager.
*Determine quantities to be cooked and size of portions to be served, misc-en-place to be prepared for the next day etc. and ensure all items plated in the kitchen are of the highest quality.
*Confirm daily raw material order with Manager and ensure that adequate stocks of raw materials are maintained (fresh, frozen and dried)
*Train, always allocate and oversee the work of kitchen staff including maintaining a clean kitchen.
*Ensure Store Manager’s directions regarding Food Control Plan processes are followed for storage of goods and recorded as required.
*Ensure necessary hygiene and Health & Safety standards are maintained in all areas. *Ensure appropriate clothing, including head wear, is worn by all kitchen team at all times in accordance with the guidelines.
*Understand responsibilities in relation to fire procedures, health & safety, Work Safe NZ, infection control, food hygiene and emergency aid. Co-operate fully with the statutory inspections and implement recommendations as appropriate.
A Minimum of 2 years of experience required for this position .
Both positions are for a minimum of 30 hours per week with an opportunity to work and earn more during busy periods. Hourly will be paid at $27 to $30 per hour depending on qualification and work experience
